Gilded in Gold: An Evening of Excellence celebrates the remarkable achievements, leadership, and dedication of our association members who continue to elevate the multifamily industry across Western North Carolina.

The AAWNC Platinum Awards provide an opportunity to honor those whose passion, innovation, and commitment have made a lasting impact within our local industry. We invite you to recognize deserving individuals and teams through nominations, including self-nominations.

This year's Platinum Awards recognize the individuals and communities whose excellence throughout 2026 has earned them a place among those Gilded in Gold.

Doors will open at 6:30 PM

    • Those working onsite or for a supplier company can be nominated! 
    • To be considered for Rookie of the Year, the nominee should have been hired prior to July 1, 2026 and worked in their role for less than a year.

  • Community Impact Award
    • Nominees should be able to share the impact they have made in their community. 
    • Apartment communities or supplier companies can be considered for this award. 

Adding her signature charm and elegance to the evening, Asheville favorite Carin Metzger will serve as this year's emcee, guiding us through a celebration worthy of those Gilded in Gold.

Carin Metzger has been professionally gracing stages big, small, and mobile, as an actor, emcee, comedian, and dancer, for over 15 years. She is a longtime host of Asheville’s popular LaZoom Comedy tours.

Local audiences may have seen her work with the North Carolina Stage Company, Magnetic Theatre, Immediate Theatre Project, and Double Dip productions. Her all-female improv group, the Bernese Mountain Hogs, recently opened for improv comedy legends TJ and Dave. She has hosted everything from pole dance shows to bicycle festivals.

She is uniquely qualified to host this event for AAWNC as she has lived in an apartment in Asheville for at least ten years, can hold a microphone, and is cheaper to hire for this event than Jeff Goldblum!
